Question:
I have a 2 1/2-year-old son who dribbles constantly. He has all his teeth. Is there a solution?
Answer:
Unfortunately, no magical solution will stop persistent dribbling. It will resolve itself in time: most children stop or significantly subside after their first set of teeth finish erupting, when they are between 2 and 3 years old. Some children, however, continue to dribble for several more years. Get your GP to examine him carefully to make sure that there is no underlying problem, however unlikely. If your son is otherwise doing well, chalk it up as a nuisance - not a cause for concern.
